reviewing a website and deciding whether to rebuild it

When a website starts feeling confusing or unfinished, many people assume the solution is to start over.

A new template.

A new design.

A fresh start.

But that’s not always necessary.

When do people usually start thinking about rebuilding?

It often happens when the site begins to feel harder to manage. Navigation may feel unclear, pages may not flow the way they should, or small issues may begin stacking together.

Do most websites actually need to be rebuilt?

Surprisingly, most do not. Many websites already have the pieces they need. The challenge is often seeing how those pieces fit together.

Why does rebuilding feel like the easiest solution?

Starting over can feel like a clean slate. But often the real value comes from stepping back and understanding what’s already been created.

Sometimes the site doesn’t need a restart — just a clearer view of what’s there.
