The Fast Fix You Might Be Skipping: Your Canva Brand Kit

Updated: 4 days ago

If you're manually changing fonts and colors every time you start a new Canva project—you're doing too much.

It takes less than 5 minutes to set up your brand kit in Canva. After that, every project automatically loads your brand fonts, colors, and logos so you don’t have to waste time hunting hex codes or adjusting text styles.

Here’s how to set it up:

Step-by-Step: How to Set Up Your Canva Brand Kit

1. Go to Canva’s HomepageMake sure you’re logged in to your Pro account (free accounts only allow very basic branding).

2. Click on “Brand” in the left-hand menuThis is where you’ll add your brand colors, fonts, logos, and any templates you want quick access to.

3. Add Your Brand ColorsClick the color square under “Brand Colors” and either use the color picker or enter your hex codes. (If you don’t have official brand colors, just choose ones you consistently use.)

4. Upload Your LogosUnder “Brand Logos,” click “+ Add New” and upload your logos (PNG or SVG preferred for clear backgrounds).

5. Set Your Brand FontsChoose your headings, subheadings, and body fonts. Canva will automatically apply these to most of its templates going forward.

6. Bonus Tip:You can also add branded templates for faster reuse. Think: Instagram posts, slides, or PDFs with your fonts and colors baked in.

Why This Matters (Especially for You)

Whether you're batching reels or updating your website slides, you don’t have time to reinvent the design wheel every single time.

Setting your brand kit:

  • Cuts your design time in half

  • Keeps your content consistent

  • Helps you look professional—even when you’re running on fumes and snacks
