You’ve built the site. It’s live. You’ve told your friends. So why isn’t it showing up when you Google it?
This is one of the most common oversights I see in DIY websites: the site is up, but it’s not connected to Google—which means it’s not being indexed and can’t appear in search results.
The good news? This is an easy fix in Wix, and it takes less than 5 minutes.
How to Connect Your Wix Site to Google:
Log into Wix. Go to your Dashboard.
Click “Marketing & SEO” in the left menu.
Choose “Get Found on Google.”T his will take you to the Wix SEO Setup Checklist.
Follow the prompts. Wix will guide you through:
Adding your business info
Connecting to your homepage
Verifying site ownership
Submitting your site to Google
Click “Connect to Google.” It walks you through syncing your site to Google Search Console—Wix handles the technical stuff.
Done. Your site is now indexable, and Google knows it exists.
If you’ve recently published your site, it may still take a few days to appear in search. But connecting to Google and completing your checklist gives it a solid head start.
This is the kind of thing that’s easy to miss—but even easier to fix once you know it’s there. A quick polish that makes a big difference.
